GLOSSARIUM

The title of the print series „Glossarium“ is a combination of the name
„Glossar“ and „Herbarium“ which was made for the exhibition „Wildwuchs“ in Mürzzuschlag.

An accumulation of definitions and watercolours, made by some of my colleagues and myself, were used for further processing, whereby my intention was to preserve and combine with the quality of the material.
I decided to print on the watercolours the terms of the glossary developed for the exhibition. The motives of the woodcuts originate from photos, which represent the definitions of the glossary; they are assigned to the plants in alphabetical order.

„Glossarium“ is a synopsis of the idea „Wildwuchs“. Plants sprawl just like Street Art, overwrite each other and mark the appearance of public spaces.
